ZETA

ZOXSOFT EMBEDDED TL1 AGENT
ZETA is an embedded TL1 agent geared towards developing real time applications for the network element vendor. It is fully customizable to meet the vendor’s requirements in a very flexible and scalable fashion. In addition, ZETA is Embedded Operating System (EOS) vendor independent. It provides logic for pre-built management features concerning equipment, fault, performance, log, security, and session to allow typical operations and management of the NE. It provides the customer with a dynamic mechanism to seamlessly integrate with other protocols, such as CORBA and SNMP.

ZETA may be deployed as a TL1 embedded agent, an integrated TL1 North Bound (NB) EMS interface, or a standalone TL1 mediation application.


EMBEDDED AGENT DEPLOYMENT
ZETA may be deployed as a sub-module of the embedded system of a Network Element. Under this scheme, ZETA adds a TL1 interface to the NE. This interface can be used for NE provisioning and monitoring.


INTEGRATED TL1 NB INTERFACE
ZETA may be deployed as a sub-module of an Element Management System. In this case, it provides a TL1 NB interface for the EMS management.

TL1 NB MEDIATION
ZETA may be deployed as a standalone application to mediate Tl1 with other protocols such as SNMP, CORBA, or proprietary protocols or vice versa. As a mediation application, ZETA mediates downstream with either an EMS or a NE.
